1 c. flour
1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. confectioners' sugar
2 eggs
3/4 c. sugar
3 tbsp. fresh lemon juice
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder

In bowl, blend flour, softened butter and confectioners' sugar until mixture resembles meal. Pat mixture into 8 inch square baking pan and bake at 350 degrees or until pale golden. In another bowl, beat eggs until light. Add sugar and lemon juice. Beat 8 minutes (or use food processor). Sift in flour and baking powder and stir until it is combined. Pour over baked layer and bake for 20 minutes. Sift confectioners' sugar over top. Cool; cut into 2 inch squares. Makes 16.
