FRUIT CAKE 
CAKE:

2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 can Eagle Brand milk
1 (28 oz.) jar non such mincemeat
1 lb. mixed fruit
1 c. or more nuts, coarsely chopped

GLAZE:

1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. water
1/2 stick butter

CAKE: Sift flour with baking soda. Combine milk, mincemeat, fruits, nuts. Fold in dry ingredients, pour into buttered pans. Bake at 300 degrees for 2 hours.

GLAZE: Boil ingredients together 3 minutes. Add 1 teaspoon rum extract. Prick cake with fork and spread; glaze.
