LASAGNA 
1 (8 oz.) pkg. lasagna noodles
1 tbsp. salad oil
2 bay leaves
1 recipe Savory Meat Sauce (recipe follows)
1 lb. cottage cheese
1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
6 to 8 oz. Mozzarella cheese, thinly sliced
Pepperoni

Cook noodles according to package directions, adding the oil and bay leaves to boiling water. Drain. Grease a 12x8-inch baking dish. Starting with noodles, make layers of noodles and 1/3 of Savory Meat Sauce. Dot with half the cottage cheese. Sprinkle with Parmesan and add a few slices of Mozzarella and 1/2 of the pepperoni. Repeat layers.

Make top layers of noodles and meat sauce. Decorate with strips of Mozzarella and pepperoni. Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes. Let stand for 15 minutes.

6 servings.

SAVORY MEAT SAUCE:

1 lb. ground beef (ground round)
1 tbsp. salad oil
1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes
1/2 c. water
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
1/2 c. diced celery
1 (1 1/2 oz.) pkg. spaghetti sauce mix
Salt
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. prepared mustard

Brown meat in hot oil; break it apart as it browns. Add remaining ingredients. Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes or until thick. Stir frequently.
