K.'S FAVORITE FRENCH CREAM MINT
BROWNIES
 
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter, softened
4 eggs
1 can chocolate syrup
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder

Cream sugar and butter. Blend in eggs, chocolate syrup, flour and baking powder. Put in greased 15 x 10 x 1 inch jelly roll pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Chill in refrigerator.

FILLING:

1/2 c. butter, softened
2 c. powdered sugar
2 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. peppermint extract
2 or 3 drops green food coloring

Cream butter and powdered sugar. Blend in milk, peppermint and food coloring. Spread over crust. Chill until firm.

FROSTING:

1/2 c. butter
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips

Melt butter and chocolate chips. Pour evenly over filling. Chill slightly. Cut, then return to refrigerator until hard. (These bars freeze well).
