1/4 lb. butter
1/3 c. sugar
1 egg yolk
1 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
Strawberry jam

Cream butter and sugar. Add yolk, flour and vanilla. Roll into tiny balls (size of penny). Make a small dent with rounded top of clothes pin (or bottom of knife). Fill with drop of jam. This process works best if dough is chilled slightly in refrigerator first. Lightly grease cookie sheets. Bake at 375 degrees about 10 minutes but watch carefully. Makes 5 dozen.
