CARAMEL CANDY BARS 
50 caramels
1/3 c. milk
2 c. flour
2 c. oatmeal
1-1/2 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
1 c. butter
6 oz. chocolate chips
1 c. chopped nuts

Heat caramels and milk in 2-quart casserole on Medium in microwave until smooth. Stir often. Mix flour, oats, brown sugar, soda, salt and egg. Cut in butter with pastry blender until crumbly. Press half of mixture in 9 x 13-inch greased pan. Sprinkle with chocolate chips and nuts. Drizzle with caramel mixture. Sprinkle remaining crumbly mixture over top.

Bake at 350°F for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
