CIDER STEW 
2 lbs. beef stew meat cut into 1 inch cubes
3 tbsp. flour
2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. thyme
3 tbsp. oil
2 c. apple cider
1/2 c. water
2 tbsp. white vinegar
3 potatoes
4 carrots
2 onions
1 stalk celery

Coat meat with flour and spices and brown in large saucepan in hot oil. Stir in cider, water, vinegar, cut up carrots, celery and onions. Cook and stir until mixture boils. Reduce heat and simmer covered 1 1/2 to 2 hours until meat is tender. Add potatoes and cook 30 minutes.
