JEWISH APPLE CAKE 
4 sliced apples
2 tsp. cinnamon
5 tsp. sugar
3 c. flour
2 c. sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
1 c. oil
4 eggs
2 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Juice of 1 orange or 1/2 c. orange juice

Mix first 3 ingredients and let stand in bowl while mixing batter. Beat eggs. Add sugar, vanilla, oil and orange juice. Mix flour and baking powder; mix all for 5 minutes. Batter will be thick and sticky.

Pour into tube pan that has been greased and floured. Start with batter, then a layer of apples, and finish with apples. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour 10 minutes.
