You can amend this basic recipe and make it your own.
I use bagged cubed stuffing but add stale curmbled rye bread for extra flavor. Once you try this, you'll aways use it.
If you like, can also add dried cranberries chopped walnuts or chopped apples.

If you need more moisture, can use water, chicken/turkey stock or apple cidar. Can use more than 1 egg if more binding is needed.

Make a small patty and fry until fully cooked, taste test for seasonings.

I have used sage, rosemary and thyme to my stuffing, this is what my grandmother did. I also use scallions instead of onions. If you use turkey broth that's ok, but I use Better Than Bouillon chicken base, its in a jar next to yeast etc.

This is how my mom always made stuffing - only she added apples to it.

In Canada - as we prepare for our Thanksgiving this weekend. Wondered what Bell seasoning was - we don't have it here. Do have lots of rands of poultry seasoning but never seen Bells. Good choices for stuffing here. Wendy

My family has been using Bell Seasoning for 4 generations. It is packaged in a small yellow box with a picture of a turkey. You can blend your own but Bell Seasoning is just the best.

Bell Seasoning is a very old and popular brand name for poultry seasoning. Made up mostly of thyme and sage. When I grew up, it's the only brand of poultry seasoning they had.

Bell's seasoning is in a little box with a turkey on the front. Ingredients are: Rosemary, Oregano, Sage, Ginger, Marjoram, Thyme and pepper.. We never have a turkey without it. :)
