FRESH COCONUT CAKE | |
1 lg. pkg. Duncan Hines white cake mix 1 c. milk 1/2 c. sugar 1 tsp. coconut flavoring Cool Whip Fresh or frozen coconut Make cake according to the directions on box and put in greased 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan or Pyrex dish. Bake at 350 degrees 40 to 45 minutes. Test cake to make sure it is done. Just before cake is done, bring to a boil the milk, sugar and flavoring. Punch holes with cake tester in hot cake and pour the hot milk and sugar mixture over the hot cake. Place cake in refrigerator until it is cold. Top with Cool Whip and fresh or frozen coconut. Cover and set in refrigerator overnight. |
