PROZONA KAPUSTA 
1 cabbage
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
1 large onion, chopped
1 cup water
1/2 to 3/4 cup vinegar
1 tbsp. brown sugar
1 tbsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
2 bay leaves
1 link kielbasa, cut into slices

Slice or chop cabbage; scald and drain. Sauté chopped onion in butter. Put cabbage and onions in roaster.

In pan, put 1 cup water, vinegar, brown sugar, salt, pepper and bay leaves. Add this to cabbage in roaster and stir. Bake at 375°F for about 30 minutes.

Cut a link of kielbasa in slices and add to cabbage. Reduce temperature to 350°F and bake for about 45 minutes or until tender.

Note: Watch liquids in roaster. Should not be too soupy, so it is roasting to slightly brown.

GRAVY:

all-purpose flour
water
1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms, drained

When done, make a roux of flour and water. Add a little at a time to desired consistency. Add sliced mushrooms, if desired.
