GRAM'S KAPUSTA 
1 can sauerkraut
1 (28 oz.) bottle ketchup
1 lg. onion, chopped
Bacon fat

Boil sauerkraut 10 minutes in water. Drain. In large frying pan, put bacon fat - then add onion, browning slightly. Add sauerkraut. Cook at medium heat until slightly browned, stirring constantly. When browned, add ketchup, enough to make sauerkraut turn a deep orange color. Good side dish, or great topping for hot dogs, burgers.
