SHOE-FLY CAKE 
1 box brown sugar
1 c. butter (2 sticks)
4 c. flour

Mix all ingredients and save 1 1/2 cups for topping. 2 c. boiling water 2 tsp. baking soda

Mix these in separate bowl. Combine crumb mixture with molasses mixture. Pour into greased long pan. Bake 350, 45 minutes.
