SHRIMP AND CRABMEAT AU GRATIN 
1/4 c. butter
1 lb. crabmeat
1 lb. shrimp, cooked
1/4 c. sherry
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tsp. sugar
1 c. grated cheddar cheese
3 c. medium cream sauce
1/2 c. bread crumbs
1/2 c. slivered almonds
6 tbsp. butter
6 tbsp. flour
1 c. milk
2 c. light cream

Heat 1/4 cup butter in heavy skillet. Saute crabmeat and shrimp until heated through. Add sherry, seasonings and cheese. Combine with cream sauce and turn into a large buttered baking dish. Top with bread crumbs and almonds. Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes (until heated through).

For cream sauce, combine 6 tablespoons butter and flour in saucepan over medium heat. Add milk and stir; add cream and cook, while stirring, until thickened. Serves 6 - 8.
