BUTTERSCOTCH MERINGUE PIE
TOPPING
 
3 egg whites
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
6 tbsp. sugar

Combine first 4 ingredients. Beat until frothy. Add sugar, a little at a time. Beat until stiff peaks form. Spread over cooled pie. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes until meringue is browned.
