SWEET-N-SOUR MEATBALLS | |
2 lbs. ground meat (1/2 beef, 1/2 turkey is good) 1/2 c. bread crumbs 1 pkg. onion soup mix 1 egg Mix and form into meatballs. 1 sm. can sauerkraut (VERY well drained) 1 (12 oz.) bottle chili sauce 1 (6 oz.) can cranberry jelly 1/4-1/2 c. brown sugar (to taste) 12 oz. water Cook over low heat stirring until well blended. Pour sauce over meatballs and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Serve over rice or noodles - OR - to reduce fat content, cook meatballs in microwave while making sauce. Pour sauce over fully cooked meatballs and bake at 350 degree for 15 minutes. Serve over rice or noodles. |
