BANANA CAKE 
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 crushed bananas
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. sour milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream shortening, bananas and sugar. Add eggs and beat. Sift dry ingredients - add to creamed mixture alternating with soured milk. Pour into floured 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake 50 minutes. Let cake cool. Frost with icing - put under broiler until coconut has browned.

FROSTING:

6 tbsp. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1/3 c. canned milk
1/3 can coconut

Bring to boil - all ingredients, except coconut, remove from heat and then add coconut. Let cool slightly and spread on cooled cake.
