PUNCH BOWL CAKE 
1 yellow cake mix

Bake cake mix as directed on box, cut into pieces.

3 boxes instant vanilla pudding

Prepare pudding according to directions on box.

2 cans cherry pie filling
2 cans crushed pineapple, drained
2 c. chopped nuts
2 lg. cartons Cool Whip
1 pkg. frozen coconut

Layer ingredients in a punch bowl as follows:

1st layer: Line bottom of bowl with 1/2 of the pieces of cake.

2nd layer: Pour 1/2 of pudding over cake.

3rd layer: Spread 1 can of cherry pie filling over pudding.

4th layer: Spread 1 can of pineapple over cherry pie filling.

5th layer: Put on enough Cool Whip to cover well.

6th layer: Sprinkle some of the nuts and coconut over Cool Whip.

Repeat all layers, ending with Cool Whip, nuts and coconut. Refrigerate overnight.
