NEW ENGLAND PUMPKIN PIE 
1 (10-inch) pie crust
1 1/2 c. pureed fresh pumpkin
3 tbsp. butter, melted
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. maple syrup
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tbsp. ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
3 eggs
1/2 c. milk
1/4 c. whipping cream

Make your favorite pie crust, line a 10-inch pie pan, trim and flute edges.

Combine pumpkin, butter, sugar, syrup, spices, egg yolks, milk and whipping cream. Mix thoroughly. Beat the egg whites until stiff but not dry. Fold into pumpkin mixture. Pour into prepared pie shell. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven until a toothpick inserted halfway into pie comes out clean, about 50 minutes. Cool and enjoy!
