BAKED APPLES 
4 lg. baking apples
1/4 c. brown sugar
2 tbsp. chopped nuts and or raisins
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. water

Core apples (leave a small plug in blossom end). Combine sugar, nuts, cinnamon. Fill apples. Place apples in 8 inch dish. Dot with butter and sprinkle with water. Cover with plastic wrap. Microwave HIGH 7 to 9 minutes. Let stand 2 to 3 minutes. Serve warm or chilled.

For one apple, cook 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 minutes. For two apples, cook 3 to 4 minutes.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
