BAKED APPLES 
6 apples (crisp, tart, fall apples are delicious)
1 c. sugar
2 1/2 c. water
Butter
Ground cinnamon
Stick cinnamon

Core apples with apple peeler. Peel an equator around each apple. Put apples in a baking or casserole dish. Place a dab of butter in the center of each apple and sprinkle each apple with cinnamon. heat sugar and water in a saucepan to boiling. Pour mixture over apples in casserole dish. Break a cinnamon stick into several pieces and place in baking dish. Bake apples at 350 degrees for 1 hour. When done, apples will pierce with a fork.
