FRESH STRAWBERRY JAM 
4 1/2 c. crushed fresh strawberries, washed and stemmed
1 (1 3/4 oz.) box powdered fruit pectin
7 c. sugar

Place berries and pectin in 5 quart casserole dish; stir well. Cover; microwave on high 8 to 10 minutes until mixture is at full rolling boil. Add sugar to boiling mixture and stir well. Uncover, microwave 8 to 10 minutes, stirring after 5 minutes, until mixture reaches full rolling boil. Then boil 1 minute. Skim off foam with metal spoon while stirring jam (about 5 minutes) before ladling into sterilized glasses. Seal with 1/8 inches of paraffin; let set and seal with another 1/8 inch.

Paraffin: Set paraffin in small batter bowl placed in large batter bowl with water. Boil in microwave until melted.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
