SPAGHETTI AND MEATBALLS 
SAUCE:

1 onion, chopped
3 tbsp. fat
1 can stewed tomatoes (2 1/2 c.)
2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
2 c. water
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 tbsp. sugar
1 bay leaf

Combine ingredients for sauce and simmer 1 hour.

MEATBALLS:

1 lb. ground beef
1 c. crushed crackers or bread crumbs
1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
1 sprig fresh parsley, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 c. milk
2 eggs, well beaten
Salt and pepper to taste

Brown meatballs in broiler and then put in sauce 15 minutes. Serve over cooked spaghetti.
