HOLIDAY FRUIT CAKE 
1 1/2 c. shelled whole Brazil nuts
1 (7 1/4 oz.) pkg. whole dates
1/2 c. maraschino cherries (red)
1/2 c. maraschino cherries (green)
1 1/2 c. whole walnuts
2/3 c. candied pineapple
1/2 c. dark raisins

Put all above ingredients in a bowl. Then measure and sift the following ingredients over fruit and nuts: 1/2 tsp. baking powder 3/4 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. salt

Mix well. Then beat 3 eggs and add. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla. Pour over fruit and nuts. Spoon into pans. Bake 1 3/4 hours or until done in a 325 degree oven. (Less time needed if smaller pans are used.)
