SOUTHERN STYLE SCALLOPED
POTATOES
 
6 lg. potatoes
4 med. sized onions
2 to 3 c. grated Cheddar cheese
2 c. evaporated milk
1/2 lb. butter, melted

Slice potatoes and onions. Spread 1 layer of potatoes and onions in 1 9 x 12 inch baking dish. Cover the onions and potatoes with a layer of cheese, then add a second layer of potatoes and onions topped with cheese. Pour milk and melted butter over the mixture. Add salt and pepper to taste. Bake for an hour at 450 degrees. Serves 4 to 6.
