CASHEW NUT CASSEROLE | |
1 lb. ground beef 1 lg. sweet onion, chopped 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1/4 tsp. garlic salt 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup 1 c. milk 1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms, drained 3/4 c. green or ripe olives 1/2 lb. American cheese, cut in sm. pieces 1 (8 oz.) pkg. noodles 1/2 c. chow mein noodles 1/2 c. cashew nuts Brown meat and onions; add seasonings. Cook noodles and drain. Combine soup and milk. Stir into noodles. Add mushrooms, olives, cheese, and beef mixture. Put in 2 quart casserole. Bake uncovered in a 350 degree oven for 25 minutes. Remove and stir in chow mein noodles and cashew nuts. Bake 20 minutes more. |
