GREEN LEAF SOUP 
1 bunch greens (spinach)
2 potatoes
2 qts. water
3 tbsp. barley
3 tbsp. fried bacon

Wash greens, cut finely. Bring to quick boil in water to cover. Pour over water, add diced potatoes, washed barley, salt and water. Boil until potatoes are done. Add crumbled bacon, with bacon fat.
