DANISH APPLE CAKE 
5 tbsp. butter
1/4 c. sugar
1 c. bread crumbs (unseasoned) or Zwieback crumbs
1 (12 oz.) jar applesauce
1 reg. Cool Whip

Melt butter over low heat. Add sugar, then bread crumbs and stir until browned.

Layer alternately; crumbs and applesauce, etc. in serving bowl. Refrigerate and when ready to serve, top with Cool Whip.
