DIVINITY FUDGE 
3 c. sugar
1/2 c. cold water
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. light corn syrup
2 egg whites
Chopped walnuts

In heavy saucepan cook sugar, syrup, and water over low heat. Stir only until sugar is dissolved, then cook to soft ball 235 degrees. Beat egg whites at high speed until stiff, continue beating and pour 1/2 the syrup slowly over the beaten egg whites. Continue beating while cooking the rest of the syrup until it forms a hard ball 260 degrees. Add the rest of the syrup of egg white mixture slowly. As candy beings to thicken add vanilla. Just before thick enough to drop by spoonfuls, stir in nuts. Drop quickly by spoonfuls onto buttered waxed paper.
