CREAMY RICE PUDDING | |
1/2 c. raw rice 1 1/2 c. water 1 tsp. shortening 1 tsp. salt Cook rice, butter and water slowly for 15 minutes. Drain. 1 qt. whole milk 1 pt. Half and Half 5 eggs 1 c. sugar Beat eggs, add sugar, milk, salt and vanilla and mix well - add rice and egg mixture together and bake at 325 degrees for 75 minutes in a pan of water. It is best to bake in a 9 x 13 inch glass pan placed on a jelly roll pan. This is an old Swedish recipe. |
