2 lbs. round steak, cut in serving pieces 1 env. onion soup mix 1 c. mushrooms 1/2 green pepper 1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes, drain, save juice 1 tbsp. A-1 steak sauce 1 tbsp. cornstarch Place heavy duty foil on cookie sheet (like brownie sheet). Spread center with butter and arrange meat so it is slightly overlapping. Sprinkle with onion soup, mushrooms, green peppers, tomatoes and seasonings. Mix juice from tomatoes, A-1 sauce, and cornstarch. Pour over meat and vegetables. Bring foil up and double fold edges to seal. Bake 2 hours, 350 degrees. Makes gravy. |
