MACARONI AND BEEF PRONTO 
1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms plus liquid
2 tbsp. chopped onions
1/4 tsp. basil leaves
1 lb. ground beef
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1/8 tsp. garlic powder
2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
8 oz. (2 c.) elbow macaroni
1 c. shredded cheddar cheese, or to taste

In large skillet, brown ground beef and onion. Drain fat completely. Stir in mushrooms, basil leaves, salt, pepper, garlic powder and tomato sauce. Simmer, uncovered 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Meanwhile, cook macaroni as directed on package; drain. Add macaroni to skillet; mix with meat and sauce. Sprinkle cheese on top; cover and heat a minute until cheese melts. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
