TURTLE CAKE | |
1 box German chocolate cake 1 pkg. caramels 1 stick butter 1 pkg. chocolate chips 1/2 can evaporated milk Walnuts or pecans (optional) Mix cake mix according to package instructions. In a double boiler, mix caramels, butter and evaporated milk. Bake 1/2 cake mix in 8 x 10 inch cake pan for 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Remove, cover with caramel mixture and chocolate chips. Cover with remaining cake mix and bake another 15 minutes. Cool. It should have a brownie consistency. |
