PUNCH BOWL CAKE 
2 boxes instant vanilla pudding
2 lg. cans crushed pineapple, slightly drained
1 can cherry pie filling
12 oz. Cool Whip
1/2 c. chopped pecans
3 sliced bananas
1 yellow cake mix, baked as directed

Cut cake in half. Break one half in bowl. Add 1 box pudding mix (mixed as for pudding), 1 can crushed pineapple, 1/2 can cherry pie filling. Then add a little Cool Whip and one sliced banana. Then repeat the above with more layers of same. Slice a banana on top; cover with Cool Whip and top with nuts. Let set in refrigerator. This takes a large punch bowl. Feeds a crowd.
