SAVORY VEGETABLE AND SAUSAGE
SALAD
 
10 oz. pkg. frozen peas or mixed vegetables, cooked and drained
1 1/2 c. water
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. Minute Rice
1/4 c. Miracle French dressing
3/4 c. mayonnaise
1 tbsp. chopped onion
1 tbsp. lemon juice
3/4 tsp. mixed salad herbs
1/2 tsp salad
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 c. diced celery
1 c. diced carrots
1 lb. fresh bulk sausage

Fry sausage and drain. Crumble Cook veggies and drain. Bring water and 1/2 teaspoon salt to boil. Stir in rice. Cover. Remove from heat. Let stand for 4 minutes. Add French dressing. Mix. Cool. Mix mayonnaise, onion, lemon juice, herbs, 1/2 teaspoon salt, mustard and pepper in large bowl. Add veggies, celery, carrots, rice, sausage and mix well. Chill several hours. Flavor will be better if refrigerated overnight. Serves 6.
