ROUX PEAS & RICE 
1 stick butter
3 tbsp. flour
1 lg. onion, chopped
Dash of garlic powder
Dash of parsley, chopped
2 cans green peas
Dash of Kitchen Bouquet
Salt & pepper to taste
Hot cooked rice

Cook butter and flour until light brown. Add onion, cook until clear. Add juice from peas. Add garlic powder, parsley, a little water, Kitchen Bouquet, salt, pepper and peas. Simmer 20 minutes. Serve over rice. The more pepper you add, the better!
