TURTLE CAKE 
1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
1 (12 oz.) pkg. caramels
1/2 stick butter
1/3 c. milk
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 c. chopped nuts

Mix cake as directed. Pour half of batter into 9 x 13 inch greased pan. Bake 20 minutes at 350 degrees.

Melt caramels, butter and milk together in saucepan. Pour caramel mixture over baked cake layer. Sprinkle chocolate chips and nuts over this. Pour remaining cake batter over all. Bake 20 minutes at 250 degrees and 10 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool. Frost with Fudge Frosting.

FUDGE FROSTING:

1 c. sugar
5 tbsp. butter
1/3 c. milk
