PITA BREAD 
1 1/2 c. water
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 pkg. dry yeast
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 to 2 1/2 c. flour
Cornmeal

Heat water to warm. In large bowl mix water, yeast, sugar, salt and 2 cups flour. Mix well with beater (about 3 minutes). Add 2 1/2 cups flour and knead to form a firm dough.

Grease top and let rise 45 minutes or until doubled. Punch down and divide into 6 equal portions. Roll each piece into 7 x 1/4 inch thick circles. Place on cookie sheet and raise to 1/2 inch thick. Sprinkle with cornmeal. Bake 10-15 minutes in 500 degree oven.
