6 med. sweet potatoes 2 tbsp. butter 1/2 c. coarsely chopped walnuts 1/2 c. brown sugar 1/2 tsp. salt 1/3 c. water Dash cinnamon Cook potatoes till tender. Peel and halve lengthwise. In wide skillet, simmer next 5 ingredients till sugar dissolves. Add the potato halves; simmer 15 to 20 minutes, turning occasionally, till potatoes are glazed and syrup thickened. Sprinkle with walnuts. |
