BEEF BRISKET 
3 - 4 lb. beef brisket (not corned!)
1 onion, sliced
1/4 c. chili sauce
2 tbsp. brown sugar
1 clove garlic, minced or garlic salt
12 oz. can beer

Trim excess fat from brisket. Salt and pepper. Place in 13 x 8 inch baking dish. Cover with onion slices. In bowl, combine chili sauce, brown sugar, garlic and beer. Pour over meat. Cover. Bake at 350 degrees for 3 1/2 hours. Uncover and bake 30 minutes more, basting often with juices.
