A favorite in my family! I make this at nearly every family gathering. I've used chocolate pudding too, but the vanilla is best (or white chocolate).

It was sooooo good though I highly recommend using French vanilla pudding. It gives it a much better taste!

I really just wanted to check the ingredients for this recipe. I needed to make a double batch. I mixed the first batch according to the directions and the cream cheese mixture didn't combine completely. There were tiny balls of cream cheese throughout the mix. The second batch I made by adding the Cool Whip, pudding and milk directly to the cream cheese mixture. It came out much better.

This recipe is so delicious! Don't forget the gummy worms and everyone try it and of course you will like it!!

It's been in my childhood and plan on passing this down with love and excitement.

This is a great recipe. Been eating it for years and finally made it myself. Great presentation if made in a flower pot with a plastic flower planted in middle and a small garden hand shovel to serve.

I love this. I use grape jello instead of pudding, flour instead of powdered sugar, buttermilk instead of butter, mint instead of vanilla, Ritz crackers instead of oreos, and bbq sauce instead of cool whip.

I made the Oreo dirt cake exactly by the recipe and it turned out perfect and delicious!

Even better with Hershey's dark chocolate pudding

I make this but I add one stick of melted butter to the crushed Oreos and put it in the bottom of the pan like a crust then spread the rest of the ingredients after they are all mixed together. I reserve a little of the crushed Oreos and sprinkle on top so it looks like dirt. My recipe calls it dirt salad.

I am making this for a bridal shower but we are now expecting a snow storm -- how do you think it would do if I had to freeze it?

I have been making this for years . My daughter requests it for Halloween party, and husband request for his birthday cake :). Only I changed it up a bit--- use instant white chocolate pudding if you can find it. Soooo good. If not i will use one box of vanilla, and one box of cheesecake pudding, cream cheese, whipped cream and the Oreos. I do not add butter or confection sugar. Such a fun idea for kids Halloween parties. Use little clear plastic cups layer the cake, add gummy worms, and seal with plastic wrap or put in clear party sacks and tie at the top. :)
