EASY YEAST ROLLS | |
1 c. boiling water 1 tsp. salt 1/2 c. sugar 2 sticks butter 2 eggs 1 pkg. yeast 1 c. lukewarm water 7 c. plain flour, sifted Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water (105 to 115 degrees). Pour boiling water over salt, sugar, and butter. Cool to lukewarm. Add yeast mixture and mix. Add eggs and mix with electric mixer. Add flour and mix. Let rise overnight in refrigerator. The next day take out a small amount at a time and knead slightly with enough flour to roll out and cut with biscuit cutter. Fold each one in half. Continue until all mixture is used. Brush tops with melted butter. Let rise in warm place for 2 hours. Bake at 350 degrees until brown, about 10 minutes. These rolls can be browned just slightly and frozen to use later as "brown and serve rolls". |
