WHIPPED CREAM FROSTING | |
3 tbsp. flour (or cornstarch) 1 c. milk 1/2 c. butter 1/2 c. Crisco (solid shortening) 1 c. sugar 2 tsp. vanilla (I use Watkins) Mix flour and milk in small saucepan. Cook over low heat until thick. Cool until warm but not hot. Meanwhile cream butter and Crisco well. Gradually add sugar, beat well. Add flour mixture and continue beating until icing is consistency of whipped cream. Blend in vanilla. |
