CINNAMON BUNS 
2 c. boiling water
3 tbsp. shortening
1 tbsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar

Let cool.

#2:
2 pkgs. dry yeast
1 tsp. sugar
1/4 c. lukewarm water

Also will need:

1/2 c. brown sugar
Karo syrup
Cinnamon
Raisins or nuts
Butter
2 eggs
8 c. flour

Mix ingredients in group #1. Mix separately ingredients in group #2. Mix 2 beaten eggs into #1 and #2, combined. Add 4 cups flour, beat thoroughly. Add 2 to 4 cups more of flour, enough to handle dough.

Roll out dough. Spread with butter, cinnamon and sugar. Sprinkle with nuts or raisins. Roll up. Cut in 1 inch pieces. Bake in greased pans that have 1/2 cup brown sugar, Karo and large pieces of butter on bottom. Let rise 1 1/2 hours or 2 hours. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes.
