HOMONTASHEN TIME CAKE 
4 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
Grated rind of lemon or orange
4 eggs
1/3 c. oil

PRUNE FILLING:

1 lb. sweet prunes
3 thin orange slices
1/2 c. walnuts, chopped
Rind & juice of 1/2 lemon
1/4 c. sugar
1 tbsp. oil
Dash of nutmeg

Sift all the dry ingredients into a bowl, break the eggs into the center, add the oil, and stir well. Mix all together and knead lightly until smooth. roll out 1/8 inch thick. Cut in rounds. Put large teaspoon of filling in center, form a 3 cornered pocket. Bake on greased baking sheet in hot oven (350 degrees) for 1/2 hour until nicely browned.

Cook the prunes and the orange slices in a small amount of water until they are tender and the water has evaporated. Stone the cooked prunes and chop them together with the rest of the ingredients. Fill the dough.
