WHOLE WHEAT REFRIGERATOR ROLLS 
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. warm water
2 c. whole wheat flour
1/2 c. soft shortening
1 egg
2 pkgs. dry yeast
1/2 c. warm water to dissolve yeast
4 1/2 c. all-purpose flour

Dissolve sugar and salt in 1 1/2 cups warm water. Stir in whole wheat flour, shortening and egg until well blended. Add yeast dissolved in warm water. Add white flour to make soft dough. Knead 5 to 10 minutes. Refrigerate or may be used immediately (need not raise first). Shape into clover leaf or any shape desired. Let rise until double in bulk, about 1 1/2 hours. Bake at 425 degrees 15 to 20 minutes.
