1 qt. flour (4 c.)
1 c. shortening
2 or 3 eggs
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. sugar
1 c. sour milk
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Mix it all together. Roll these out on a floured board and cut. Bake at 350 degrees until just turning brown. They should be quite white when they come out of the oven.
