BOILED CUSTARD 
1 qt. milk
1 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 heaping tbsp. flour
Vanilla

Mix sugar, flour and pinch of salt; beat eggs and add flour and sugar, then add milk. Cook in double boiler and stir constantly. Cook until metal spoon looks coated.

Remove from stove and add vanilla (or nutmeg if desired) and beat with mixer. Pour through strainer so it will be good and smooth.
