RYE QUICK BREAD | |
2 c. rye bread 2 tsp. baking powder 3/4 tsp. salt 1 c. undiluted evaporated milk or half milk half cream 1 tsp. honey 2 tbsp. melted butter Combine dry ingredients. Combine wet ingredients. Blend wet and dry ingredients. Stir until smooth. Pour out onto a well buttered baking sheet and with floured hands pat into a 14 inch circle about 1/2 inch thick. Prick surface with a fork. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes or until brown. Cut into wedges when cool. |
