CREAM PUFFS 
1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. boiling water
2 eggs
1/2 c. flour
1/8 tsp. salt

Melt butter in water. Add flour and salt at once, stir vigorously. Cook and stir until mixture forms a ball and doesn't separate. Remove from heat, cool slightly. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each until smooth.

Drop by heaping spoonfuls 3 inches apart on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 degrees until puffy and golden brown, about 30 minutes. Remove from oven. Split and cool. Remove filaments from inside.

CUSTARD FILLING:

2/3 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. milk
6 tbsp. flour
2 eggs, beaten
2 tsp. vanilla

Mix sugar, flour, and salt. Add eggs. Beat well. Bring milk to boil, add egg mixture and cook over medium heat until thick. Cool, add vanilla. Chill before filling cream puffs.
